Privacy Notice
The short version: we collect what you type into the enquiry form, we use it to arrange your free design call, it stays with Clearline until you choose to go ahead, and you can tell us to stop at any time.
Who we are
Clearline Home Energy is an independent home-energy guidance service covering England, Scotland and Wales. Clearline Home Energy is an independent design and guidance service and does not carry out installations. Every installation is contracted with and delivered by an MCS-certified installation business for your area, and your installation contract and workmanship warranty sit with that business.
What we collect, and why
When you send the enquiry form we collect your name, contact details, address, and your answers about the property, your electricity spend and what you are interested in, plus anything you add in the notes box. We use them for one purpose: arranging and preparing your free remote design call. If you use a calculator first, the configuration you built can travel with your enquiry so the call starts from it. This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies; our hosting provider keeps standard server logs.
Who sees your details
Your details stay with Clearline while we arrange and hold your call. Only when you choose to go ahead do we share them with the one vetted MCS-certified installation partner who prepares your written quote, never a panel of installers, and we never sell your data.
How long we keep them
We keep enquiry details for as long as we are actively helping you, then for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back, after which they are deleted.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to stop contacting you, or to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, by replying to any message from us or texting STOP to any text we send. Under UK GDPR you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk if you think we have handled your data badly.
