Privacy Notice
The short version: we collect what you type into the enquiry form, we use it to arrange your free design call and, if you go ahead, your installation, and you can tell us to stop at any time.
Who we are
Clearline Home Energy designs and installs solar panels, battery storage, EV chargers and heat pumps across England, Scotland and Wales. Every installation is carried out by our MCS-certified, fully insured installation teams and is backed by our workmanship warranty and the manufacturer's product warranty.
What we collect, and why
When you send the enquiry form we collect your name, contact details, address, and your answers about the property, your electricity spend and what you are interested in, plus anything you add in the notes box. We use them to arrange and prepare your free remote design call and, if you go ahead, your survey and installation. If you use a calculator first, the configuration you built can travel with your enquiry so the call starts from it. After you send an enquiry we may ask two optional questions about how you heard of Clearline, and any answers you give are stored with your enquiry.
Cookies and how we measure our advertising
This site runs the Meta Pixel, which sets its own cookie in your browser under Meta's terms so we can see how enquiries reach us from Meta's ad platform. We also set a first-party cookie (and, where your browser blocks that, the same information in local storage) that remembers how you first arrived, for example which advert, search result or link brought you here, for up to 90 days, so an enquiry you send later is still credited to the right source. This site sets no other advertising or analytics cookies; our hosting provider keeps standard server logs.
Site analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics, from our hosting provider, to see which pages are read and which buttons and forms are used. It is cookieless, sets no cookies, and records aggregated, anonymous page views and interactions only. We never send it your name, postcode, phone number or anything else you type into a form.
Who sees your details
Your details stay with us while we arrange and hold your call. When you choose to go ahead, they go to our MCS-certified, fully insured installation teams, who carry out your survey and installation. Apart from the two advertising uses below, they go no more widely than that. We never sell your data.
How we measure and target our adverts
We tell Meta, the company behind Facebook and Instagram, whether you booked and attended your design call, so we can measure which of our adverts work. We may also share a list of our customers and enquiries with Meta so it can show our adverts to people like you, or stop showing them to you. In both cases your email address and phone number are scrambled (hashed) before they leave us, and we share nothing else. We rely on our legitimate interest in knowing which of our adverts work and who to show them to. You can ask us to stop either use at any time by replying to any message from us.
How long we keep them
We keep enquiry details for as long as we are actively helping you, then for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back, after which they are deleted.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to stop contacting you, or to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, by replying to any message from us or texting STOP to any text we send. Under UK GDPR you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk if you think we have handled your data badly.
