The short version: this site is guidance, not a quote, and the free design call is where the real numbers happen.
What this site is
Clearline Home Energy is an independent design and guidance service and does not carry out installations. Every installation is contracted with and delivered by an MCS-certified installation business for your area, and your installation contract and workmanship warranty sit with that business. The content here explains how solar, battery storage, EV charging and heat pump options tend to work for UK homes so you can walk into a design call informed.
Estimates are illustrations
Every figure on this site is dated and sourced where it appears. Calculator and estimator outputs are illustrations built on stated assumptions, not quotes or promises of performance: your written quote comes from the installation partner after your design call, priced for your actual roof and usage. Tariff names and rates belong to their suppliers and change over time. Nothing on this site is financial advice.
Product names and trademarks
We name the equipment our installation partners fit so you know exactly what you are being quoted for. Every manufacturer and product name on this site belongs to its owner and is used only to identify that equipment. Clearline is an independent guidance service, holds no manufacturer accreditation, and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or authorised by any manufacturer named here.

Specifications are taken from the manufacturer's published datasheet, with the document and the date it was read stated on the relevant page. Manufacturers revise datasheets, and your installation partner confirms the specification of the exact unit they propose before you commit to anything.
Installations
Any installation you commission is a contract between you and the MCS-certified installation partner, on their terms, backed by their workmanship warranty. Clearline is not a party to that contract.
