Where are Aiko panels made, and who is AIKO?
AIKO is a Chinese manufacturer, not a Japanese one, whatever the name suggests. Its panels are made in China and sold in the UK through AIKO Energy UK, based in Birmingham, and through its distributors.
AIKO says it has shipped more than 200 GW of cells and panels and employs over 10,000 people, with research centres in Freiburg in Germany as well as in China. Those are AIKO's own figures. What made its name is one idea taken further than most: putting every electrical contact on the back of the cell.
Companies House lists AIKO ENERGY UK CO., LTD under company number 14686935, incorporated 24 February 2023. Read from AIKO, the MCS directory and Companies House on 29 October 2026.
