Aiko 535 W solar panels, £1,000 per kWp installed.
More power per panel: 1954 by 1134 mm at 24.1 per cent efficiency, so a large, clear roof needs fewer panels. Ten panels, 5.35 kWp, are £5,350 installed.

Which Aiko 535 W is it? The model codes
"Aiko 535 W" is not one product. AIKO makes it in four series that share the size, the 24.1 per cent efficiency and the 30-year output guarantee, and differ in glass, colour, fire class and product warranty. Your quote names the exact code; this is what each one gets.

Size, weight and how many fit your roof
Each panel is 1954 x 1134 x 30 mm and takes about 2.22 square metres. Ten of them make 5.35 kWp and need roughly 22 square metres of clear roof plus space around the edges.
Two rows in portrait need about 3.9 metres of rafter, closer to 4.5 with edge clearance. Plenty of UK rear roofs are close to that line, so a large array sometimes goes in landscape or across two faces. On a big, clear roof, fewer, larger panels mean fewer fixings and a tidier layout. The survey decides, which is why we say "subject to survey" rather than imply ten panels drop onto any house.
Weight: 27.1 kg dual glass, 23.2 kg single glass. The survey checks the roof and its fixings for the array you choose.
Efficiency and output on a British roof
At 24.1 per cent module efficiency, 535 W comes from 2.22 square metres. On a UK average roof ten of them generate around 4,950 kWh a year; the calculator above uses your own area's sunshine figure.
Two datasheet numbers matter in British weather. The temperature coefficient, minus 0.26 per cent per C, means a hot roof in July costs a little less output than on older designs. And the power at NOCT, 405 W, is the rating under 800 watts per square metre of light and a 20 °C day, closer to real outdoor conditions than the laboratory 1,000 behind the 535 W headline.
Dual glass and bifacial: what it adds on a house
The 3S+60 and 3P+60 have glass on both faces and can collect light from behind. AIKO rates the dual-glass version at 565 W at the BNPI lab condition, but that assumes light reaching the back that a pitched tile roof does not give it. Plan on the 535 W front-side figure, which is what every estimate on this site uses and what your MCS estimate is based on. The real gain from dual glass on a house is durability and a Class A fire rating. Our LONGi page explains the bifacial question in full; the physics is the same.
Warranty on the Aiko 535 W, by code
Thirty years on output
Every Neostar 3 series carries the same 30-year performance warranty: at least 99 per cent of rated power in year one, then no more than 0.35 per cent a year, leaving 90.6 per cent at year 25 and 88.85 per cent at year 30. On a 535 W panel that is still about 475 W after three decades.
The product warranty is by series
The cover on the panel itself depends on the series, not the wattage: 15 years on the P series (AIKO can extend it to 20 or 25), 25 or 30 years on the S series. Your written quote names the exact model code, so you know which applies before anything is fitted.
What it does not cover
The output guarantee is for the front of the panel only. AIKO chooses whether to repair, replace or refund, and its terms leave removal and refitting costs with the owner. Claims go to AIKO or its authorised distributor in writing within 30 days of spotting a fault, with the panel serial numbers.
AIKO warranty documents: Distributed Common Modules, Residential Modules v1.8 and Full-black Gen-3 Infinite Modules v1.2, read 29 October 2026. The warrantor is Zhejiang AIKO Solar Technology Co., Ltd.
What an Aiko 535 W installation costs
Aiko 535 W panels are £1,000 per kWp installed, so ten panels, 5.35 kWp, are £5,350 before any battery, subject to survey.
That is the same per kWp as our LONGi 530 W package. A bare panel's trade price online leaves out the inverter, mounting, scaffold, electrical work and MCS certification.

Are Aiko panels MCS certified?
Yes. Every Neostar 3 series at 485 W and 535 W is on the MCS product directory under certificate MR 50677721, issued by TÜV Rheinland to Zhejiang AIKO Solar Technology and valid from 16 May 2025 to 15 May 2030. We checked the directory on 29 October 2026.
That matters for your export payments. To be paid under the Smart Export Guarantee a supplier asks for an MCS installation certificate, and that certificate can only be issued for modules on the directory at the time of installation. Your certificate names the exact panels fitted. Our guide to the Smart Export Guarantee explains what to do with it.

Read the guide →Aiko 535 W questions, answered
Which Aiko 535 W panel is it: 3S60, 3S+60, 3P60 or 3P+60?
All four exist at 535 W. They share the 1954 by 1134 mm size and 24.1 per cent efficiency; they differ in glass, colour, fire class and product warranty. The all-black S series carries 25 years of product cover, the P series 15. Your quote names the exact model code.
How big is an Aiko 535 W panel, and will it fit my roof?
1954 x 1134 x 30 mm, about 2.22 square metres. Two rows in portrait need about 3.9 metres of rafter, closer to 4.5 with edge clearance, so some roofs take it in landscape or across two faces. The survey settles it.
How many Aiko 535 W panels do I need?
Ten panels make 5.35 kWp and generate around 4,950 kWh a year on a UK average roof; eight make 4.28 kWp. Fewer, bigger panels suit a large roof. The right number comes from your usage and your roof.
Is the Aiko 535 W bifacial or dual glass?
The 3S+60 and 3P+60 are dual glass and bifacial; the 3S60 and 3P60 are single glass. On a pitched house roof very little light reaches the back of a panel, so plan on the 535 W front-side figure, not the 565 W bifacial lab rating. Dual glass is worth having for durability and its Class A fire rating.
What is the warranty on the Aiko 535 W?
30 years on performance for every series, with at least 88.85 per cent of rated power at year 30. The product warranty is 25 years on the all-black 3S60 and 3S+60, and 15 years on the 3P60 and 3P+60, which AIKO can extend to 20 or 25.
What does an Aiko 535 W panel cost?
Our Aiko 535 W installations are £1,000 per kWp installed, so ten panels (5.35 kWp) are £5,350 and twelve (6.42 kWp) are £6,420, before any battery.
